One of the objectives for Pivot East in 2013 is “to raise the quality of mobile startups in the region and to improve their investability”. The 2013 edition is being organized to allow investor input upfront that will raise the quality of startups pitching at the final conference.
Ideal investors for Pivot East Startups are those who are active and involved in helping to build companies in Africa. Early stage, patient investors able to pursue deals of less than $250,000 are particularly encouraged to take part. Angel investors are particularly encouraged to participate.
